My tank has been devoid of acropora corals for 4 weeks now and all of the rock that contained Acropora were removed from the tank for the duration of my treatment. I essentially re-cooked the rock for four weeks. I am going to be placing a small acropora frag into the tank this week to see what the results are. If it does not get attacked by AEFW, then I am going to assume the tank is free and clear of flatworms.
At that point, I will begin to rebuild my tank, adding back in the rock and starting to rebuild my once significant acropora collection. In short, I lost EVERY single piece of acropora. They did not survive the multiple dips.
I wanted to take this opportunity to replace the tank with a larger system, but frankly, its just not in the budget at this time. (I had my eye on a MarineLand 300g Deep Dimension tank, with Starphire glass.) But, as the tank had progressed over time, I felt like my rockwork was too obtrusive. So, given the opportunity, I am going to completely re-do the aquascaping of the tank. I am actually quite looking forward to the process.
No pictures today, but I will be taking many shots of the reaquascaping process so you can see the change the tank goes through as I rebuild.
