Ken Nedimyer: Another Perspective

There is an article highlighted by GlassBox Design yesterday that discusses Coral Restoration and includes a video clip interview with Stephen Frink and.  Its worth listening to.

But, did you know that Ken also has a website where he sells various livestock for your reef tank?  Not many people know about it.  Its http://www.sealifeinc.net and I have ordered from Ken in the past.  I have to tell you this is no fly-by-night coral chop shop.  Ken takes very good care of his customers and his prices are rock bottom.

It has been a few years since I placed an order with him and I plan on placing another order soon.  But, Ken personally works with each and every customer and, in my case, threw in a bunch of little extras.

I bought a number of ricordia that were beautiful and have split many times!  I also got a purple gorgonian that is still thriving today.  I think that was $15.00!  The ricordia were also under $20!

And, the fact that Ken’s time is dedicated to coral restoration, you can be assured that what you are getting is not ripped from the reef, but comes from his small farm near Tavernier, FL.

I highly recommend taking a look at his site and supporting Ken.  He doesn’t use the site to make millions, just to help him get by while he dedicates his life to restoring our reefs.

Its such an opposite story from this one, also posted by GlassBox Design!

I did see the interview piece on Ken and he also states that he realized that to fulfill his commitment in restoring coral reef systems he must step away from selling marine organisms and is turning the business over to his daughter.
