Derek M. Rodner is currently the vice president of marketing and product strategy at a venture-backed start-up company located in Camden, NJ.
Prior to Agilence, Derek spent 6 months at PERFMAN as the VP of Marketing. What a rollercoaster ride that was. A word of warning: Be careful of 20 year old companies with founder’s disease!!!
Prior to joining PERFMAN, Derek was responsible for worldwide marketing for EnterpriseDB Corporation, spearheading the growth of the company from simply an idea to over 300 customers and millions in sales.
Before EnterpriseDB, Derek held a number of marketing roles at Unisys Corporation. He led the open source initiative at Unisys and was responsible for the marketing of their Intel server line. In addition, Derek was the first non-employee Chairman of the Marketing Board for the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL). Derek was also the founder and president of a business re-engineering firm for Fortune 500 companies.
Derek is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and lives in Chester Springs, PA with his wife and three children. In his spare time, he plays with his reef tank.
